The success of Pavitra Rishta which is actually a remake of a very popular Tamil serial, Thirumathi Selvam has in fact given a green signal for production houses to attempt many such remakes from down South.
As per our source, "The show which will be produced by UTV for Star Plus is also a remake of a famous Tamil serial. It will be a social drama set in the backdrop of Maharashtra. It is about a girl who has to face a whole new set of challenges. The channel and production house are tight-lipped about the concept, as this will be one of the major launches. Auditions for the show have just started".
We tried calling Mayuree Chaddha, Fiction Head, UTV and even sent her a text message, but she remained unavailable.
